Tomorrow night at St. James Church the Save Darfur Club is hosting a silent auction and dinner to raise money for the Solar Cooker Project. The Solar Cooker Project gives solar-powered stoves to refugees of the genocide in Darfur. Every day refugees are forced to venture out of the shelter of their camps and risk their lives looking for firewood, a need that could be eliminated with solar cookers.
Support this worth-while event including a dinner the students of Save Darfur club cooked themselves as well as live performances by the Passing Notes and a student harpist.
The event will be at St. James Church, 581 Valley Road on Saturday, January 7th at 6pm. The cost is $35 at the door. Cash only!
